The Standard Kit is what most Australian backyards need. It includes three J-brackets, the framework to start your installation. This is the most common item we sell.

The Complete Kit is full-coverage. six J-brackets, the recommended amount for a 10-metre piece of netting with brackets installed every 2-metres to give you maximum flexibility.

Install in an afternoon

The kit is designed for 1-2 people with basic DIY skills. Most installs take 3-5 hours. You won't need a tradesperson, just a power drill.

1. Plan your perimeter

Walk your fence line. Identify gaps, climbable spots, and where the netting might need to curve at the top to stop vaulting. Each kit covers 10 metres of perimeter.

2. Mount the brackets

If you've purchased these, drill the J-brackets into your fence or wall at 2m intervals. They curve inward at the ends to create the overhang that stops cats vaulting. For brick or rendered walls, use the included wall plugs.

3. Netting tension

Slightly loose, not taut. Netting pulled tight gives cats a foothold to climb. A slightly loose net makes it harder for them to get a grip.

4. Secure

Use the supplied pull-ties to secure any gaps or any loose areas. If you need more pull-ties your local hardware store will have them.

How do I know which kit is right for me?

Most Australian backyards work with the Standard Kit, it gives you the netting plus 3 J-brackets to start your overhang. If you've got a longer fence run, complex corners, or want more J-bracket coverage at 2m spacing, the Complete Kit gives you 6 J-brackets. The Essential Kit is for owners who already have a way to mount netting at height, for example, between a roof and a fence, or for shorter custom installs.

Will this work on my fence?

Yes, in most cases. The kit installs on timber paling, brick, render, or hardwood. The J-brackets attach to your fence or wall. The netting tensions over the top. If your fence is unusually short, very tall, or has gaps wider than 100mm at the base, use the pull-ties to secure the net further.

If you'd rather hire someone, a local handyperson from airtasker can usually fit a kit in 3-5 hours. But unfortunately we cannot physically help.
