J-Brackets (Steel, powder-coated)

The custom-designed J-brackets were created by us for our Just For Cats installations netting.

Dimensions

• 500mm long
• 150mm high
• 30mm wide
• 3mm thick.

Material

Each bracket is made from steel with a weather-proof powder coating that won't rust, fade, or degrade in the sun. The curved overhang shape helps stop cats vaulting over the fence.

We designed these brackets ourselves because nothing at the local hardware stores worked.

• Flimsy garden brackets bent under the netting's weight.
• Shelf brackets were too short.
• Anything sturdy enough was either too expensive or overkill.
• Industrial fittings looked terrible on a residential fence.

So we sketched the profile we needed, the angle, the length, the depth of the curve, and we found a small manufacturer who could produce them properly.

How many do you need?

For the full 10-metre run of netting in our kits, we recommend 6 brackets, one at each end, and one every 2 metres in between. That's the spacing that holds the netting's curve without sagging.
